No two seventeen-year-olds are exactly alike.
Their senior pictures shouldn’t be either.
I’m Rebecca Pfeifer, a senior portrait photographer serving Fond du Lac and the surrounding communities of East-Central Wisconsin. My sessions are personal, highly guided and built around creating photographs that look beautiful without losing the person inside them.
Before becoming a photographer, I was a middle and high school guidance counselor. Working with teenagers taught me something that still shapes nearly every session I photograph:
People open up when they feel comfortable being themselves.
So that’s where we begin.
You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose.
You don’t need to know your “good side.”
You don’t need to have the perfect location picked out.
And you don’t need to be the kind of person who loves having pictures taken.
I’ll help with outfits and locations before your session and give you plenty of direction once we’re shooting. I’ll tell you what to do with your hands, help you move naturally and make adjustments as we go.
But good senior portraits aren’t created by memorizing poses.
They’re created when you eventually forget quite so much about the camera.
That’s what we’re working toward.
Fond du Lac offers so many different possibilities for senior pictures that we can build a session around almost any style.
We can create an urban look downtown, work with architecture and texture, find flowers and natural areas, photograph around the water, or travel outside the city for something quieter and more organic.
For longer custom sessions, we can combine completely different environments so your final photographs have variety without feeling disconnected.
I maintain a detailed location guide filled with places I’ve photographed and scouted throughout Fond du Lac, Sheboygan County and the surrounding area. We’ll use your outfits, personality and vision to narrow those possibilities down together.
You don’t have to know where your pictures should happen.
You just have to tell me what feels like you.
Some seniors have been saving inspiration for months.
Some haven’t thought about their pictures once.
Some walk into a session ready to go.
Others need twenty minutes before I see the real smile.
There is room for all of that here.
My years working with teenagers taught me to pay attention—to when someone needs more direction, when they need encouragement, when something isn’t feeling like them, and when it’s better to stop talking and simply let a moment happen.
That may not sound like photography.
But I think it’s a huge part of making photographs that actually feel like the person in them.
Digital images are wonderful.
They’re easy to share, perfect for graduation announcements and important to have.
But I don’t believe photographs this meaningful should live exclusively on a screen.
My senior portrait experiences can include professionally designed albums, wall portraits, printed proof sets and digital images so your favorite photographs can become part of your home and family history.
At seventeen, they are senior pictures.
At thirty-seven, they are something else entirely.

Kristel has been part of my business since 2017 and creates joyful, relaxed portraits centered around connection rather than perfection. She’s especially wonderful with families who want their photographs to feel like their actual relationships—not simply everyone looking at the camera at once.
I photograph a limited number of senior sessions each year so each experience can remain genuinely personal.
