This wedding was one of the highlights of 2017 for me! Kristine and Christian live in Denmark (the country…not the little town in Wisconsin), and Christian became a huge Green Bay Packer fan back when Brett Farve was playing. When he proposed to Kristine they had already discussed having a non-traditional ceremony in the U.S. So when Christian found out you could get married at Lambeau Field, the idea became an instant hit!
There are lots of weddings at Lambeau Field, but it’s not every day the couple comes from outside of Wisconsin, let alone the country, to get married in Green Bay! So when the local TV station heard about the couple coming all the way from Denmark, they decided it would make a great story to air before the game the next day! It was so fun to watch the news story and hear Kristine & Christian explain why they choose Lambeau Field, and even how they named their son after star quarterback Aaron Rodgers! They even showed a few peeks of me in action during portraits 🙂 This might have been one of the smaller weddings I’ve photographed (in terms of number of guests)…but it sure was way up there in energy, excitement and fun! I’m so glad I had the opportunity to meet these two and their families, and be a part of their wedding day at Lambeau Field!
