Senior year is one of those strange, wonderful in-between seasons. You’re celebrating who you’ve become while getting ready for whatever comes next.
I believe your senior pictures should capture more than what you looked like during that time. They should feel like you.
I’m Rebecca Pfeifer, a senior portrait photographer serving Sheboygan and Sheboygan County. Before photography became my career, I was a middle and high school guidance counselor—and I’ve spent most of my working life connecting with teenagers.
That experience still shapes the way I photograph.
You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to be naturally comfortable in front of a camera. And you definitely don’t need to show up knowing exactly what you want.
We’ll figure it out together.
Some seniors arrive completely excited for pictures. Others are doing this mostly because Mom said senior pictures are happening.
Both are welcome here.
I’ll help you plan locations and outfits beforehand and guide you through posing, movement and expressions throughout the session. We might walk, explore, talk, laugh, change plans when we see great light and occasionally end up somewhere we hadn’t originally intended.
The goal isn’t to perform for my camera.
It’s to get past that feeling altogether.
Some of my favorite moments happen when a senior who started the evening unsure of themselves realizes, somewhere along the way, this is actually fun.
And yes—senior guys, that includes you.
Sheboygan gives us an incredible amount of variety for senior portraits.
We can create something natural along Lake Michigan, use beach grass and shoreline at golden hour, wander through downtown for brick, architecture and urban texture, find flowers and greenery, or combine several completely different looks into one custom session.
You aren’t choosing from a short list of predetermined backgrounds. We’ll choose locations based on you—your clothes, personality, interests and the way you want your photographs to feel.
After years of photographing seniors throughout Sheboygan County, I have plenty of favorite places tucked away. You don’t need to arrive knowing where to go.
That’s part of what I’m here for.
You’re probably not.
Most people simply aren’t used to having a camera pointed at them.
I give a lot of direction—where to put your hands, what to do with your feet, where to look and how to move—but I don’t want every photograph to look directed.
We’ll keep moving until things begin to feel natural. I’ll pay attention to the little expressions and in-between moments as much as the perfectly composed portrait.
My job isn’t to turn you into somebody else for three hours.
It’s to notice what makes you you, and photograph it beautifully.
The photographs matter.
But what happens to them afterward matters, too.
Depending on the portrait experience you choose, your photographs can become a professionally designed album, finished wall portrait, printed proof set and digital images.
Because someday these won’t just be senior pictures.
They’ll be the photographs your family pulls out when they’re trying to remember exactly who you were at seventeen.
And I think that’s worth making tangible.

I photograph a limited number of senior sessions each year so every senior receives a genuinely personal experience from planning through finished artwork.
