Everything about Alexandra & Joshua’s fall wedding in Madison was simple and elegant. Alexandra made the succulent bouquets herself and they turned out stunning! So of course they had their own mini session, along with the gorgeous wedding rings, before the ceremony even got started.
We started at the Wisconsin State Capitol building, where they invited their immediate family to witness their vows. The Assembly Chambers at the State Capitol Building makes quite the backdrop for a wedding ceremony. After their ceremony we walked over to The Old Fashioned where they enjoyed drinks, and of course some of those famous cheese curds, with their families!
Then, before dinner, Alexandra & Joshua took a walk around capitol square. We even headed up to the top of the capitol building for a view of downtown Madison…and it turned out we were the only ones up there!!
Their reception dinner was held at Bellini – an Italian Restaurant inside an old church (with really beautiful stained glass)! It was perfect for their intimate family gathering. And I just loved their “cake toppers” – these adorable minis of the famous Madison terrace chairs!! Alexandra told me you can get them at the Wisconsin Union Terrace store!
Congratulations again Alexandra & Josh!
