Whispering Springs Fond du Lac Wedding | Michele & Alex

Michele and Alex are the type of people you just feel instantly comfortable with. They are so laid back, open, and fun to be around. During their engagement session, these two had me laughing so much my stomach hurt.  Needless to say, I was really looking forward to their May wedding, the first of my 2017 season!

Michele had one of the most gorgeous bouquets I had ever photographed!  The layers of texture and subtle colors…it really needed it’s own photo shoot! Their church, with it’s beautiful stained glass windows, was equally as stunning for their ceremony. To make it easier for Michele’s family to participate in portraits (since they are proud Wisconsin farmers, they needed to sneak back in between the ceremony and reception for chores), we started at their family farm! It was such a great decision. Everybody was relaxed and having fun!  And these photos are going to be so meaningful in part because of the familiar location.

And then we were off to one of my favorite wedding venues – Whispering Spring Golf Course in Fond du Lac – for the rest of their wedding and couple portraits, and of course the celebration! I love the moment I caught of Michele & Alex up on the balcony before their reception started. Every time I see it I wonder what they were talking about up there!  It’s a mystery, and I kind of like it that way 🙂  I’m sure they were feeling excited to get the party started.

As I look through their photos today, deciding which to share with you, I find it hard to believe these two have already been married for 7 months.  And at the same time it feels like these moments happened forever ago.  Funny how that happens isn’t it?
