It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2016 and Maggie & David were about to get married! They wanted their winter wedding to be simple and elegant, and everything about that day was. We started at The Osthoff in Elkhart Lake, where their family and wedding party helped Maggie & David get ready for the big day. Each of Maggie’s bridesmaids took a turn buttoning some of the delicate buttons on her timeless wedding dress. Her Mom of course finishing the last ones for her. Then she tried on her grandmothers’ fur coats to see which one looked best with her wedding dress. Meanwhile the guys finished getting ready and had their boutonnieres pinned on. Then hung out in the cozy Elk Room at The Osthoff.
Finally, it was time for Maggie & David to see each other for the first time! I always enjoy helping couples plan this special few moments to themselves at the beginning of the day. After some pictures of Maggie & David alone, we brought out their wedding party to join in the fun! After finishing up pictures we headed over to St. Fridolin’s Church in Glenbulah for their cozy ceremony.
Back at the Osthoff Maggie & David were able to enjoy some of cocktail hour with their guests since most of their pictures were taken before their ceremony! Dinner, toasts and cake cutting all followed. Maggie & David thought of everything for their guests, including an amazing hot chocolate and donut bar!
